Acrylic on canvas

Somewhere in Between is a colorful contemporary abstract acrylic painting featuring saturated blues, greens and turquoise accented by vibrant yellow, red, pink and orange. Layered brushwork, expressive marks and shifting areas of color give this original 12-by-12-inch abstract painting both depth and movement. Its rich palette makes it especially suited to interiors where a designer or collector wants to introduce bold color in a smaller-scale original artwork.

Look a little longer and the painting begins to suggest things that aren't quite there—perhaps water, foliage, reflections or a distant landscape. That's the fun of Somewhere in Between: it never tells you exactly where you are. Your eye can wander through the layers and discover something different from one viewing to the next. Lively and intriguing without demanding an answer, it's a painting for someone who enjoys color, imagination and artwork that leaves a little room for their own story.
